This Brand Wants To Hire You As A Wiener Connoisseur

Spring isn’t just for warmer weather, flowers, and farmers markets, it also marks the beginning of the Major League Baseball season. Like every other sport, food is necessary while watching a baseball game. Stadiums offer a variety of foods like peanuts, chicken tenders and fries, popcorn, and soft pretzels — don’t forget a nice cold beer to wash that all down. The most notable MLB food is the hot dog. If hot dogs are your go-to food while watching a baseball game, there’s a job out there for you. BetUS, an online sports betting platform, is looking for a Wiener Connoisseur as the MLB season starts to find the largest hot dog wiener across 30 stadiums.

What does it mean to be a Wiener Connoisseur?

Essentially, the wiener connoisseur will record the length, diameter, weight, and price of each hot dog. BetUS is looking for someone who is a “passionate hot dog connoisseur, has a strong opinion when it comes to grilled vs. boiled dogs, is well-versed in the world of wieners and smiles at the idea of a literal sausage fest,” according to the job posting.

The connoisseur will travel to all 30 MLB stadiums, covering travel expenses and tickets to games. However, the posting’s Terms and Conditions state traveling to no more than three MLB stadiums.

What are the benefits of being a Wiener Connoisseur?

Aside from being paid to eat and measure hot dogs, it’s important to note that this is not a full-time position with a pay of $2,500 to travel to the MLB stadiums. BetUS will also give a $500 gift card to the MLB gift shop and a one-year subscription to MLB.TV. No further payments or benefits will be given to applicants.

Applicants must be over 18 years of age and residing in the U.S., however, Alaska and Hawaii are excluded.

Applications are open until April 18 and can be filled out here
