This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UCLA chapter.

The Holiday Season is here! Personally, one of my favorite things during the Holiday Season is the food, especially the desserts. However, cookies are way too overrepresented during this time. So, I decided to spice up the classic campfire treat into a holiday theme, resulting in peppermint s’mores. This recipe is super simple and easy! All you have to do is crush up some peppermint, melt some chocolate, and assemble. You’ll only be using a microwave so don’t worry if you do not have much cooking equipment or cooking skills. The nature of this recipe makes it the perfect way to spend time at home during this Holiday Season in a pandemic; the simplicity of this recipe makes it wonderful to make with your family and people of all cooking skill levels and background can make this recipe. With all the time at home, you literally have no excuse not to make this recipe. These peppermint s’mores are absolutely delicious, festive, and the perfect treat for this stay-at-home winter break.
