We all need something to do during our time in quarantine, so why not try out a new recipe? You can tweak these recipes to be your own or follow them exactly, either way they are guaranteed to be delicious!
Healthy Rice Bowl
First up is a recipe from @syr_eating_club. They start their bowl by cooking up some white rice as their base. Next, they sauteed some onion, garlic, and ground turkey in a pan with a sauce made of soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil.
You can top rice bowls with whatever you please to make them your own! This recipe used some peas, julienned cucumbers, and thin strips of boiled carrots to add some nutritious value. All of this was finished off with a fried egg. The runny yolk is perfect for topping off this healthy dish! We are drooling.
Banana Bread
Our next submission was a homemade loaf of banana bread that came from @foodloverheaven1. This recipe is gluten-free and can easily be tweaked to be dairy-free as well!
The dry ingredients include 1 3/4 cups of oat flour, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp of baking soda. The oat flour can be made from using rolled oats and blending them up in a blender until they resemble the texture of regular flour. Using the oat flour keeps the recipe gluten-free friendly!
For the wet ingredients, you will need 1/3 cup of coconut oil, 1/2 cup of maple syrup, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of any milk of your choice, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and of course 3 very ripe bananas. If you opt for any plant-based milk like cashew, almond, or oat milk, you can make this recipe dairy-free! To finish off the recipe, you can add any mix-ins including chocolate chips or nuts.
Glazed Donuts
Our next submission was from @_s_becker who submitted a donut recipe she tried from Delish. Heres how to make them!

Ingredients
Instructions
Grease a large bowl with cooking spray and set aside. In a small, microwave-safe bowl or glass measuring cup, add milk. Microwave until lukewarm, 40 seconds. Add a teaspoon of sugar and stir to dissolve, then sprinkle over yeast and let sit until frothy, about 8 minutes.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and salt. In a large bowl, whisk together remaining sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla with a wooden spoon. Pour in yeast mixture, mix to combine, then add in dry ingredients, stirring with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms. Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead until elastic and only slightly tacky, adding more flour a teaspoon at a time if needed, about 5 minutes.
Form into a tight ball then place dough in oiled bowl and cover with a clean dish towel. Let dough rise in a warm spot in your kitchen until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Line a large baking sheet with parchment. Punch down dough, then turn onto a lightly floured work surface and roll out into a ½â thick rectangle. Using a doughnut cutter or 3â and 1â biscuit cutters, punch out your doughnuts. Re-knead scraps together and punch out as well. Place doughnuts and holes onto baking sheets, cover with dish towel, and let rise again, about 40 minutes more.
Make glaze: In a large bowl, whisk together milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.
Line a large baking sheet with paper towels. In a large dutch oven over medium heat, heat 2” oil to 350°. Cook doughnuts, in batches, until deeply golden on both sides, about 1 minute per side. Holes will cook even faster!
Transfer doughnuts to paper towel-lined baking sheet to drain and cool slightly. Dip into glaze, then place onto a cooling rack (or eat immediately!).
