Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Lissane Kafie

To begin, preheat your oven to 350°. Gather all of your ingredients. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add all of your dry ingredients together (flour, salt, spices, and baking powder).

  2. Lissane Kafie

On a separate bowl, grate 6 tablespoons of frozen butter using a microplane or a grater.

  3. Lissane Kafie

Next, add the butter in the bowl with the dry ingredients and use your hands or a scraper to mix it all together, until the dough is coarse and crumbly. Set aside.

  4. Lissane Kafie

In a separate bowl, mix all of your wet ingredients together. This includes the pumpkin, greek yogurt, egg, and brown sugar. Use a whisk or an electric blender to incorporate everything together.

  5. Lissane Kafie

Add the wet ingredient pumpkin mixture and combine thoroughly with a spatula, until it is fully incorporated.

  6. Lissane Kafie

Flour a plain surface, throw your dough on top, and begin to knead. Use a plastic scraper to incorporate everything together, and add flour as needed.

  7. Lissane Kafie

Form the dough into a ball and use a rolling pin to flatten it into a disk. With a knife, slice 8 to 12 triangle shaped pieces.

  8. Lissane Kafie

Place the triangles on a prepared sheet tray, and using a pastry brush, brush the scones with half and half. You can also use an egg wash if you prefer. Then, add raw sugar on top, and bake for approximately 20-30 minutes, until golden brown.

  9. Lissane Kafie

For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, almond milk, maple syrup, and cinnamon until the glaze reaches the desired consistency.

  10. Lissane Kafie

Once the scones are cooled, drizzle the glaze over the scones, and wait for the glaze to settle. Serve with a cup of coffee or a pumpkin spice latte and enjoy!

Surely your social media is popping with pumpkin everything recipes, but this pumpkin spice scones with maple cinnamon glaze should be at the top of your list. Get your taste buds excited for fall with the perfect blend of fall flavors condensed into one delicious, crumbly pastry.
