This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at BU chapter.

Obviously, Halloween is a big event in college – candy, parties, running around in silly costumes, come on now. And when Halloween happens to fall on a Friday (cough, cough, this year) why not take an entire Halloween weekend? If you happen to be the host of a party this year, you should check out these Spoon University recipes to add some great flavor to your celebration and fuel your partying all weekend long.

2. Snack: Halloween Puppy Chow.

Check out the recipe for traditional puppy chow here, then mix it up by using candy corn white chocolate M&Ms.

If you’re one to host a dinner party, try out this recipe for pumpkin gnocchi. Usually, gnocchi takes a lot of work, since they’re made from potatoes and need to be mashed. Skip the labor and opt for a quick, seasonally-appropriate alternative for your hungry guests.

4. Refreshments: Blood Orange Punch
