5 Detox Water Recipes to Cleanse Your Soul

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Arizona chapter.

Have you ever seen those fancy water bottles in healthy grocery stores that cost $3 to $5? With a couple of slices of fruit in the bottle, it looks classy and healthy. The best part is that these detox recipes are super easy to make in your own home! Here are my top five detox water recipes.

1. Strawberry Detox Water

This recipe has a number of helpful properties. Not only will the strawberry help clean out your blood and system, but the herbs help detox the liver.

Ingredients: 1 cup of blueberries and a few tablespoons of ice water

2. Cucumber Mint Detox Water

Cucumber is always a good idea when it comes to its digesting properties. Not only does it help your tummy, but it also cleanses out harmful toxins.

Ingredients: Ice water, three to five slices of cucumber, a handful of mint sprigs, and two sliced limes.

3. Blueberry Lavender Detox Water

This is by far the prettiest recipe of the bunch, resulting in an almost lavender shade. The blueberries help get rid of negative substances from your system. At the same time, it adds Vitamin B.

Ingredients: Ice water and 1 cup of blueberries.

4. Cucumber and Grape Fruit Water

This is a recipe used if you want to lose a couple extra pounds. While drinking a lot of water in general already pushes those in the right direction, the cucumber and grapefruit help remove bad toxins from your body.

Ingredients: Ice water, one cucumber, one medium-sized grapefruit, one lemon, and two to three mint leafs.

5. Apple & Pomegranate Infused Water

Apples are full of good things that help in detoxing the body. They have many vitamins and minerals that are good for the body. This recipe is a little trickier because you need to break the pomegranate (by slicing it in half), and it needs to be refrigerated for 10-minutes.

Ingredients: Ice water, 1 cup of apple chunks, and 1 cup of pomegranate seeds.

So what are you waiting for? All you need to do is combine the ingredients together and let the water sit for up to five minutes. Enjoy these health-conscious recipes that will slim, hydrate, and infuse your body.
