Rumor Has It Your Keurig Is About To Seriously Step Up Its Game

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Denison chapter.

If you are anything like me, your morning dorm room routine involves waking up, stretching, and heading straight for the Keurig machine.

I use my Keurig constantly, whether it’s for coffee, tea, or hot water for oatmeal, it’s ready to go throughout the day – all day, every day. When it comes time to enjoy a night of college festivities, the Keurig usually gets turned off, but now, things are about to change… big time.

The Exciting News

Keurig is about to step up its game by pairing with Green Mountain and Anheuser-Busch InBev to start brewing instant alcoholic beverages. Yup. You read that right.

Drinks on Me

According to a recent press release, Green Mountain and Anheuser-Busch InBev “entered into a joint venture focused on the research and development of an in-home alcohol drink system.” Although there is no set release date quite yet, Keurig plans to base the new machine off of its Keurig Kold system (Keurig’s version of a soda machine) to bring you beer, wine, and mixed drinks.

Counting Down the Days

This new machine will be a game changer and will make entertaining that much easier for you and your guests. An instant cocktail is absolutely faster than lining up the ingredients and preparing drink after drink. Soon, parties will be able to get going with the press of a button. The CEO of the project, Nathaniel Davis, says that they “can’t wait to get started.”

Keep your eyes open for any more news about the best upcoming invention yet. In the mean time, check out this article to make your morning coffee taste gourmet, or this one to learn about the other various ways you can use your Keurig.
