I have always bought these turmeric ginger shots from a juice bar in my hometown. Every time I go I think, “why don’t I ever make these at home?” I have a juicer and all I need are the ingredients, which can be purchased at almost any grocery store. If you have access to a juicer, keep reading because this is the recipe for you! 

Turmeric and ginger are both powerful antioxidants. The combination of the two in this shot will provide an abundance of benefits in one easy (slightly spicy) swig.

    Juice ginger and turmeric. (Set your juice to ‘Hard Vegetable’ if it has one.)

    Add cayenne and black pepper after juice is finished, stir, and serve immediately.

These turmeric ginger shots provide great health benefits including: enhancing digestion, increasing metabolism, improving skin, relieving stress, and maintaining balanced blood sugar levels. 

In addition to the benefits of turmeric; ginger, lemon, and cayenne pepper also have some powerful effects. The combination has the ability to cleanse, detoxify, and boost your metabolism.

I am not saying that these shots are a magic ‘reverse’ button from the holiday indulgences (why would we want to erase all the yummy x-mas cookies??), but there are some real benefits.
