A Baked Butternut Squash Potato Chips and Apple Mix Recipe For the Books

The cold days are here and warm food nights too. You can order hot pizza or take the same time to make yourself this delish crunchy beautiful plate of mixed veggies. But not just any veggies, this type of squash mixed up with potatoes and apple makes for a uniquely delicious combination when baked together. The heat turns them into a delicacy that you can enjoy very easily.

I think this makes a perfect meal and you don’t need to add anything else, but free will exists for a reason so you can chose to eat it as it is or have it as a side dish. Either way it tastes amazing and I’m pretty sure it goes with almost anything. 

When I realized you could prepare your own baked fries it was a very happy moment, but once you start trying new things, it is quite hard to stop. So adding the apple was one of these let’s try something different! moment and let me tell you: if you like the mixed sucré-et-salé flavors, you are in danger of becoming a baked apple fan, so watch out.

Baked Butternut Squash Potato Chips and Apple Mix

    Cut all the ingredients, you can shape them the way you like. I recommend french fries shape for the potatoes, round slices for the butternut squash and u0022orange-segments shapeu0022 for the apples.

    Set oven to bake 375°F, spread a pan with olive oil and add the ingredients on top. Sprinkle with preffered spices (don’t forget the cinnamon for the apples!) and drizzle with a little more olive oil. Take it to the oven for around 15-20 min, when you see them golden brown, rotate them and return to oven for around 10 more minutes.

    Serve with any salsa you like and delight your dinner guests!
