Do you ever crave the comfort of a homemade apple pie but are too lazy to go through all the tedious steps to make one? Well, next time you get that craving, come right back to this super easy apple pie recipe that honestly anyone could make. The trick to making it easy? Forget about that crust.
The most difficult part about it is probably cutting the apples, but trust me, it is well worth it. The serving amount may say 12 people, but my four friends and I finished the entire tray in no time. I’d suggest maybe drizzling on some caramel sauce or even adding some whipped cream too.
Crustless Apple Pies
Ingredients
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Line baking tray with parchment paper.
Cut thin slices along the curved side of the apples (make sure not to cut all the way through) and transfer them onto the baking sheet.
#SpoonTip: Cut slowly. It’s easier than you might think to accidentally cut all the way through.
Brush the tops of the apples with a little bit of melted butter and sprinkle on some sugar.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until they turn soft.
In a small bowl combine the rest of the melted butter, sugar, oats, and cinnamon.
Stuff the oat mixture in between each cut.
Put them back into the oven to cook for another 15 minutes.
Top each half with a scoop of vanilla ice cream any other additional toppings.
Enjoy!
I promise this is something you’re going to want to eat right away, so don’t even bother pulling out those individual plates. You might never even want to go back to making regular pies after realizing how easy this apple pie recipe really is.
A little side note: don’t be surprised if your neighbor comes knocking on your door asking what that amazing smell is because your place is 100% going to end up smelling like heaven.
