These flower ice bowls are the perfect way to serve up anything chilled—think fruit, cold drinks, or desserts. Though they might look complicated, they only take 20 minutes of effort plus an overnight freeze. Either place the bowl inside a bigger tray to collect water if it melts, or bring your brunch outside for a beautiful meal with zero dish clean-up.
Flower Ice Bowls
Ingredients
Instructions
Fill a large bowl halfway with water. Place a smaller bowl inside, then place a weight within the smaller bowl to get the bowl to stay partially-submerged. You want a little space between bowls so that the ice bowl that forms will have a bottom.
#SpoonTip: Double boil your water for extra-clear ice.
Add flower heads to water. Freeze overnight.
Gently fill smaller bowl with hot water until smaller bowl dislodges from ice bowl. Do the same thing with the outside of the larger bowl until your ice bowl dislodges completely.
Place bowl on edged plate for serving (in case bowl begins to melt). Fill with ice cream or fruit and serve immediately for most beautiful results.
