How to Make Baked Salmon with Lemon

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Northwestern chapter.

Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, salmon packs in roughly 40 grams of protein per serving and will fill you up without a calorie overload. Cooking fish might seem complicated, messy and time-consuming, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Baking salmon in a tinfoil packet gives you a fast fish recipe you can make anywhere with an oven.

Easy

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

Servings: 1

Ingredients:
6-ounce salmon fillet (skin on or off — your choice)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon olive oil
½ lemon
Tinfoil

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
2. Wash and pat salmon dry with paper towel. Place it on sheet of tinfoil large enough to wrap around fish.
3. Spread olive oil over fish.
4. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and oregano.
5. Squeeze lemon over fish.
6. Wrap tinfoil over salmon until it’s sealed and place in oven. Bake for 25 minutes.
