These packed bars combine potato chips, pretzels, chocolate, peanut butter, bacon and beer for a mouthful of sweet and salty goodness. Better yet, they call for less than half a can of beer, so buy a 6-pack to finish off while you wait for your cookie bars to cool. Best drunchies ever.
Beer, Bacon, and Potato Chip Bars
Ingredients
Instructions
Cream butter and sugar in stand mixer until fluffy, then add egg, vanilla extract, flour, baking soda, 3/4 cup chocolate chips, 2 pieces of bacon (cooked and chopped), and 2 tablespoons beer.
Press dough into a greased 9×9″ pan and bake at 350°F for 22-25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.
Melt caramel and 4 tablespoons beer in a saucepan over medium-low heat until caramels melt completely.
Pour caramel-beer mixture evenly over bars, and throw on some crushed potato chips, crushed pretzels, 2 strips of bacon (cooked and chopped), peanut butter chips, and 1/2 cup chocolate chips before the caramel hardens.
Microwave last 1/4 cup chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons coconut oil in microwave until smooth to form chocolate drizzle. Drizzle over top of bars.
#SpoonTip: Add more coconut oil as needed to get the right drizzling consistency.
Allow chocolate drizzle to set before digging in.
