If you’ve ever been to Walt Disney World, then you know that there are tons of places to eat. Ranging from food court style places to full-service 5 star restaurants. While there are some famous eats, I believe that some of the best eats are the most underrated.
Spice Road Table (EPCOT):
Spice Road Table is located in EPCOT’s Morocco. It has an amazing view of World Showcase lagoon (perfect spot for EPCOT’s night show, Illuminations) and has Middle Eastern style tapas. My favorite dishes are the Moroccan Lamb Sausage and Spicy Garlic Shrimp.
Harambe Fruit Market (Animal Kingdom):
This little gem is near Kiliminjaro Safari in Animal Kingdom. In a sea of unhealthy snacks, Harambe Fruit Market has apples, bananas, oranges and an assortment of cold drinks. Perfect for after your safari.
Yak & Yeti (Animal Kingdom):
Yak & Yeti is an old favorite of my families. It is air conditioned (perfect for the hot Orlando days) and as delicious Asian food, yet it never seems to be super busy. My recommendation? The steamed dumplings or the seared tuna salad.
Starring Rolls Cafe (Hollywood Studios):
In between rocking out with Aerosmith and seeing Star Wars come to life, you’ll need a little pick me up. Luckily Starring Rolls Cafe is there for you. Their delicious pastries and sandwiches, will make you ready to defeat the Dark Side.
Hollywood Scoops (Hollywood Studios):
If you don’t want the Mickey ice cream bar but still need a cool treat, look no further than Hollywood Scoops. You can get a classic chocolate chip ice cream sandwich or an apple crisp à la mode.
Amorette’s Patisserie (Disney Springs):
The reason why Amorette’s Patisserie is underrated (for now) is because it just opened. But once people see the beautiful cakes, petit fours and macarons, I’m sure there will be a line out the door.
Sanaa (Animal Kingdom Lodge):
Sanaa is one of the best restaurants on the Disney property. It is located at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in Kidani Village. There is delicious Indian food and huge windows looking out onto the “Sunset Savannah”. I love their Indian-style Bread Service, which is a choice of five breads with a choice of three accompaniments.
You can get any type of food at Walt Disney World. There is everything From Italian to Moroccan to Floridian cuisine. Just do some exploring beyond the typical Disney meals to find your favorite.
