How to Make Copycat Matcha Kit Kats That Are Just as Good as the Original

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UGA chapter.

If matcha is your cup of tea, then these matcha flavored Kit Kats are for you. Matcha is a type of green tea from Japan. The earthy, smooth flavor pairs perfectly with the creamy white chocolate and crunchy wafers.

If you have a microwave and 10 minutes to spare, then these treats are the perfect study treat or reward for the closing school year. Not to mention, they taste exactly like the actual Matcha Kit Kats too.

Put the bowl into the microwave, microwave for 30 seconds, remove and give it stir. Repeat until the chocolate is melted. If you find that your chocolate is too thick and therefore difficult to work with stir 1-2 teaspoons of oil into the chocolate (vegetable, canola or peanut oil work well since they don’t have a strong flavor).
