You can hardly ever go wrong when making doughnuts; pretty much everyone is obsessed with them. Ever since gourmet donuts became a huge food trend, people have been trying new flavors and textures to bring to the traditional donut. I’ve seen really beautiful donuts, crazy, over-the-top, delicious donuts, and more. But what I wanted to try was to bring some heat to a traditionally sweet donut.

					Baked Chocolate Donuts
Ingredients
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
 - Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the buttermilk, sugar, egg, butter, and vanilla.
- Mix the wet and dry ingredients together
 - Pour the batter into the greased donut pan, filling about 3/4 of the way. - #SpoonTip: I found it easier to put the batter into a plastic bag, cut the corner, and squeeze the batter into the pan.
- Bake for 8 minutes, or until you can stick a toothpick in a donut and it comes out clean.

					Cayenne Pepper Glaze
Ingredients
Instructions
 - Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl. Use as much cayenne pepper as you like, depending on how spicy you want it to be. I suggest adding it little by little, and tasting as you go.
 - Dip each donut in the glaze, and let sit until the glaze hardens.
 - Enjoy every bit of this spicy and chocolate-y heaven.
