Here are three easy Halloween treat recipes you can bake the day of, including ones that you can cut major corners on to make on time. Included are recipes for Eyeyeball Oreo Truffle Balls, Monster Rice Krispies Treats, and Mummy Cupcakes inspired by a Halloween treat decorating kit.
Monster Rice Krispies Treats
Ingredients
Instructions
Microwave marshmallows and butter in a bowl on HIGH until the marshmallows become fluffy and the butter is melted, about 2 minutes.
Stir the mixture until smooth.
Add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well combined.
Pour mixture into a 9×13 inch pan coated with non-stick cooking spray.
Flatten mixture with a spatula until even and let cool.
Cut Rice Krispies treats into various rectangular shapes.
Microwave 1/5 of the white chocolate chips on HIGH until smooth, approximately 90-seconds in 30 second intervals.
Add any food coloring desired and stir until color is smooth and even.
Spread melted chocolate on half of the Rice Krispies treats.
Add candy eyes in any pattern desired.
Repeat steps 8-11 with various colors.
Cool and serve.
Mummy Cupcakes
Ingredients
Instructions
Make the cake mix as cupcakes according to the box instructions and let cool.
Take the basket weave icing tip and begin applying long strips of vanilla icing across the cupcake.
Run the strips in any and all directions so that the icing lines begin to overlap to create a wrapped mummy look (just don’t cover up the eyes too much).
