How to Make Elephant Ear Cookies Using Puff Pastry Sheets

If you’re a sane, normal individual, you understand that overwhelming craving for anything and everything doughy and sugary. If you don’t get a tingly feeling just thinking about those two words together, well, you’re hopeless.

Growing up I used to down my mom’s freshly baked elephant ears by the plateful. But since my mom couldn’t follow me to college, I decided to take a crack at it myself so I could satisfy my sugary dough cravings whenever I needed to. So, here, I present you homemade elephant ears only using 3 ingredients and 6 simple steps.

    Defrost a package of puff pastry and preheat your oven to 375°F.

  2. Sprinkle flour on a table or cutting board and roll out the dough onto the surface.

  3. Lightly sprinkle some sugar over the dough.

    Begin from one end of the dough and roll it to the middle. Do the same starting on the other side until both rolls meet at the middle.

    Cut ½ inch slices of the dough and place onto a baking sheet.

    Sprinkle the remaining sugar evenly on the elephant ears and then bake for 8 minutes. After 8 minutes, flip the ears and bake for another 8 minutes or until golden brown.
