This Lembas Recipe is Perfect for the Lord of the Rings Fanatic in Your Life

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Queen's U chapter.

A movie marathon can be a long and brutal adventure, and it’s unwise to embark on such a quest without the proper snackage. You need something fantastically nerdy for when popcorn  just won’t cut it.

Lembas, or waybread, is known in the Lord of the Rings universe for “keeping a traveler on his feet for a day of long labour.” We’re not entirely sure if this bread will keep you going for a whole day, but the recipe’s guaranteed to sustain you for at least one three-hour epic.

Nerdy baking is a scrumptious way of adding some authenticity to your hobbit-themed marathon. If you want to be even more elf-like, wrap up your creations with mallorn leaves, and put on some festive music.

With a light, golden exterior, and a warm, white center, these sweet treats are perfect for any late night movie-fest, and are definitely a step up from your average bread. Get the Fellowship together and prepare your taste buds for the most satisfying creation that the elves have to offer.
