Directions:
1. First, make the lime glaze for the donuts. In a small bowl, combine the confectioners’ sugar and fresh lime juice. Stir until almost runny. You may need to add a little water to the mixture to get the right concentration. Set aside.

2. Before you make the dough, fill up a large pot with canola oil and put it on the stove. The canola should be at 350ºF when you fry the dough. To make the dough, combine the tequila, butter, egg, sugar, baking powder and flour into a medium sized bowl. Also, don’t be alarmed if the dough smells like a frat boys basement. That’s normal.

3. With your hands, shape the dough into little round donut holes. It might be helpful to either wet your hands or rub your hands together with some flour so the dough doesn’t stick.

4. Drop the dough balls into the hot canola oil on the stove. Take caution cause they do sizzle. Leave in for about 2 minutes or until golden brown on the outside. Once you take them out, place them on drying rack or pan to cool.

5. Once the donuts are cooled, put them in the bowl with the lime glaze. Make sure all the sides of the donut are covered with the glaze, because it’s the yummiest part, and then let them dry. Enjoy! There ain’t no party till the tequila donut holes show up.
