Here’s How To Throw A ‘Wicked: For Good’ Watch Party

Whether or not you’re a fan, all the talk about Wicked is unavoidable. The Tony-award winning musical turned blockbuster film duo has taken America and pop culture by storm. My entire TikTok For You page has turned into scrolling through videos about the movie, with clips from the movie, or with clips of the actors in interviews and appearances. From Wicked-themed Takis to coffees to Stanleys, it seems like every brand has hopped on the train to the Emerald City.

Wicked: For Good, the highly anticipated second installment of the story of friendship and resilience, was released in theaters on November 21. Fan favorite characters Glinda and Elphaba, played respectively by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, return to our screens to tell the second half of their story, which is Act 2 of the Broadway musical. Even if you’re a die-hard fan of the first movie, it’s likely you don’t remember every single detail. Why not turn a rewatch of the first movie into a watch party with friends? Or, you can plan a get-together to watch the sequel when it is out on streaming. Here’s everything you need to know about hosting a Wicked: For Good watch party with the best green and pink decorations, food, drink, and entertainment that’ll transport you right to Oz.

Decorations

To set the mood for your party, try out pink and green LED lights like content creator @arhemba on TikTok. The lights combined with pink and green streamers and stars hanging from the ceiling create the perfect vibe to welcome your guests.

If you’re going for a brighter theme, TikTok content creator @flashesofstyle threw a Wicked rewatch party that has just the thing. With a pink and green bow on the mantle, balloons, candles, and more, this festive decor sets the scene for you to refresh your memory of Wicked in preparation for Wicked: For Good.

Food

The yellow brick road is one of the most well-known aspects of the Wizard of Oz, and now, Wicked. TikTok content creator @itslaurenreed got creative with a charcuterie board and made one that resembles the yellow brick road all the way up to the Emerald City. Use cheese for the yellow bricks and surround the “road” with green grapes, strawberries, blueberries, and meat, and you have the perfect appetizer to begin your party.

I had so much fun hunting down pink & green snacks lol 🩷💚 so excited for @Wicked: For Good #wicked #wickedmovie #wickedforgood #watchparty

If you’re looking for some more low-key appetizers but still want to be in the Wicked spirit, you can even do something as simple as blue chips with guacamole to tie in some green. Content creator @sidinthe6ix on TikTok did this and added in some pink and green sweet treats like mini doughnuts, mint oreos, strawberry pocky, and other fun snacks.

Drinks

Content creator @fearlesslyfoster on TikTok, like many brands like Starbucks and Dunkin, created signature drinks inspired by Wicked characters Glinda and Elphaba. Whether you choose Elphaba’s Cucumber Vodka Elixir and Glinda’s Glittery Refresher, each choice is reminiscent of the character and the vibes of the film.

For a mocktail option, try out Wicked Dirty Soda by TikTok content creator @dailybrewmama. All you need is Sprite, granny smith apple apple syrup and/or strawberry syrup, vanilla syrup, and pink and green edible glitter to make this simple and spirited drink.

If you’re over 21, try out this unique Wicked-themed drinking game. With prompts like “defying gravity: sing the riff or take a shot” and “holding space: skip your next turn while you hold space,” TikTok content creator @sofiaagiaa created the perfect game to kick off your party.
