With the holiday season fast approaching, I am eager to try all of the limited holiday menus that are being released. Starbucks’ holiday drinks have caused a nationwide craze to try the festive beverages, Dairy Queen released winter-themed Blizzards and a shake, and Olipop just dropped three holiday prebiotic sodas.
McDonald’s is the latest restaurant to satisfy our cravings for holiday food with an all-new Grinch Meal that is soon to launch in the United States. Dill pickle-seasoned fries and a Grinch-themed pair of socks paired with classic McDonald’s dishes will start the holiday season off right.
What is in the Grinch Meal?
Thanks to the Grinch, McDonald’s is bringing its internationally-enjoyed McShaker fries to the United States as the highlight of the Grinch Meal. Each meal will include a bag of “Grinch Salt” McShaker Fries, with the Grinch Salt referring to dill pickle seasoning as green as the meanie himself.
McShaker Fries, popularized in international McDonald’s locations such as Canada and Hong Kong, involve a bag of fries and a separate bag of a seasoning. Just pour the seasoning into the bag of fries, shake it up and enjoy your tangy, pickle-flavored snack.
Diners can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets as their entree, alongside the McShaker Fries and a medium drink.
Grinch Meals will also include a pair of socks in one of four bright colors that star your favorite characters from How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and a special message from the Grinch himself.
While you may not want to touch the Grinch with a 39-and-a-half-foot pole, this meal is sure to brighten up your holiday spirit with the salty and sour fries, a filling entree, and festive socks to celebrate the season.
When can you get the Grinch Meal?
After a successful debut and run of the Grinch Meal in Canada last year, McDonald’s is bringing the festive meal to the United States this December.
“The Grinch Meal was a huge success in Canada, so bringing this fan favorite to the U.S. was a no-brainer,” Alyssa Buetikofer, the chief marketing and customer experience officer for McDonald’s USA, said in a press release. “The Grinch gets it – the holidays are chaotic, and he’s thrilled to give our fandom permission to embrace their inner Grinch with his festive mischievous meal and spirited socks.”
The Grinch Meal will be in McDonald’s locations across the United States starting December 2 for a limited time while supplies last. The price for the Grinch Meal will vary by store.
Grinch fans, dill pickle lovers and Whoville citizens can head to McDonald’s when the month kicks off to ensure you get a chance to try the introduction of dill pickle McShaker fries to the United States and grab a pair of holiday socks.
