The following recipe and excerpt for WonderWitch Passion Juice Smoothie are from “HARRY POTTER AND FANTASTIC BEASTS: Official Wizarding World Cookbook: Spellbinding Meals From New York to Hogwarts and Beyond!” by Jody Revenson and Sarah Walker Caron. It’s available for purchase on Amazon.
WonderWitch is a line of products for young witches that’s sold by Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, featuring cosmetic items and love potions. Displayed in a tier of pink flower petals, the love potions are sold in heart-shaped bottles with names like Cupid Crystals and Flirting Fancies. “They really do work,” guarantees co-owner George Weasley. These potions do work — but it’s important to have the right person drink it. In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry returns to the Gryffindor common room to find that Ron has eaten a box of love-potion-laced chocolates from Romilda Vane, who’s been crushing on Harry. Ron becomes obsessed with Romilda, whom he hasn’t even met, so Harry takes him to Potions Professor Horace Slughorn for an antidote. This bold smoothie is sweet and tart, thanks to the combination of the acidic pineapple and sweet banana. Coconut water and bright strawberries balance out the flavors, for a lovely drink inspired by the pink of the WonderWitch products.
