This homemade hot chocolate is exactly the thing to make while you're home and enjoying a cozy day on the couch. Using simple ingredients, you'll have a warm cup of hot chocolate in 20 minutes or less.
Red Velvet Hot Chocolate

- 4 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 10 ounce semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoon red food color
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for hot chocolate
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 4 ounce cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Pinch salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract for whipped cream
In a medium bowl and using a mixer, mix cream until whipped (5-10 minutes).
Combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl and mix until creamy.
Add whipped cream to mixture and whip until fully combined.
In a medium pot, add milk and chocolate chips. Stir continuously.
Add in red food color and stir until simmer.
Serve red velvet hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows.
