Tis the season for all-pumpkin-everything. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin butter, pumpkin spice lattes…You name it, it’s been pumpkin-fied. But this pumpkin fries recipe is unlike any pumpkin treat you’ve had before.

Cut fresh pumpkin into strips and fry or bake for some crispy and healthy pumpkin fries. These guys have a mild, sweet flavor and can be dressed up savory or sweet to satisfy any craving.     Ingredients

  • 1 sugar pumpkin
  • 2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • Parsley

  • Step 1

    Cut the ends off the pumpkin.

    Slice it in half.

    Scoop out the seeds and peel the skin.

    Slice the pumpkin into ¼ inch strips. The skinnier they are the crunchier they will be.

    Place the pumpkin strips in a resealable plastic bag with the cornstarch. Shake the bag until the pumpkin is evenly coated in the cornstarch.

    Fry one third of the pumpkin in a few inches of oil at 350° F for 3-6 minutes, until browned.
