Let’s be real. We all have those days when we are not feeling the caf food. Whether you’ve had too many tater tots or you’re just tired of having the same bagel, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich every morning; I know how you feel.

It’s time to mix things up. This is where BYOB comes in: build your own breakfast. This may seem daunting, but trust me on this, you will be much happier after you stop repeatedly circling breakfast potatoes on the Grill tickets. Think outside the school menu and create meals that appeal to you.

Here are three simple breakfasts, all made with food offered in the Caf, that are sure to get you out of your breakfast rut:

Peanut Butter and Banana Chip Oatmeal

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 1

Ingredients:
1 bowl oatmeal
1 peanut butter packet
1 banana, sliced
1 small spoonful chocolate chips
Brown sugar (optional)

Directions:
1. Fill a bowl with as much oatmeal as you like.
2. Add the peanut butter packet, sliced banana and chocolate chips

Avocado Toast

Ingredients:
2 slices gluten free bread
¼ avocado, mashed
salt and pepper

Directions:
1. Toast bread.
2. Top with mashed avocado, salt and pepper.

Peanut Butter, Honey, and Banana Toast

Ingredients:
1 banana
1 packet peanut butter
Honey

Directions:
1. Toast bread.
2. While bread is toasting, slice the banana.
3. Spread the peanut butter on the toast.
4. Top with banana and a drizzle of honey.
