Both finals and winter weather are quickly approaching and these next few weeks are looking pretty grim. With the cold comes cravings for warm soup and fuzzy socks, and after a long day at the library a bowl of mom’s chicken noodle would be much appreciated. Unfortunately, a few days of finals are still standing in the way of you and winter break, so we’re offering you a quick fix with this tortellini soup recipe. Take a 10-minute study break and you can have yourself a yummy dinner to keep the cold away.

Cook time: 10 minutes

10-minute soup

Ingredients:
6 cups chicken stock
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 9-ounce package cheese tortellini
1 package frozen spinach
1 can stewed tomatoes
Dried basil
Salt and pepper

Directions:
1. Thaw and strain spinach

2. Simmer stock in a large pot
