Everyone loves a good burger. Burgers are an American classic, so it’s not surprising that many restaurants claim to have the best burgers around. Despite this, I made it my personal mission to find the best burger in every state. After lots of research, I’ve compiled a list of the 50 best burgers from every state in America.

1. Alabama: The 18-oz. Bacon Cheeseburger from Vicki’s Lunch Van

Vicki’s Lunch Van is a small hole on the wall on the side of a busy road in Alabama. Previously, the restaurant looked just like the name suggests — it was just a van. Recently, the restaurant got so popular there was a need for an upgrade to a larger building. Locals swear by Vicki’s, and it is definitely a must-visit in Montgomery.

Their menu is fun and youthful and includes a large variety of items. The restaurant serves a PB & J burger as well as a spicy mac ‘n cheese burger, but I recommend that you try the hangover burger, which has a fried egg, bacon, colby jack cheese, and hatch green chili.
