The Deece has some killer chocolate chip cookies, but sometimes it lacks a lighter dessert option. Parfaits are a great alternative, and you can make your own at the Deece!

Step One:

To begin your parfait, start with a vessel. To achieve optimal layering, you'll want something narrow, like a cup. Sometimes the Deece has little plastic cups like this one! If not, you can use the regular reusable, thicker cups. Or, you can bring a cup of your own, like a mason jar, to sneak out of the Deece and bring home for later.

Step Two:

I started my first layer with yogurt. Opinions about the Deece aside, it always provides in the yogurt department. There are organic, low fat, no fat, and coconut yogurt options. If you want a vegan friendly alternative, the coconut yogurt is soy and dairy free. Yum!

Step Three:

Continue your parfait by layering granola. If you're like me and you don't like raisins, you can try to pick them out, but unfortunately there isn't a non-raisin option offered. Substitutes for granola are the great cereal options offered at the cereal bar. You can try to mash up some Coco-Puffs if you'd like a little chocolate in your treat.

Step Four:

Follow this with another layer of yogurt. Every layer will be followed by a yogurt layer.

Step Five:

Next, fruit! The Deece often has a shortage of fresh fruit, however, they do consistently have some nice frozen berries next to the yogurt. Add a hearty scoop of your favorite berries. If you happen to find some bananas, pears, or peaches, slice 'em and dice 'em for your parfait!

Step Six:

If you have a large cup, continue layering until you reach your desired parfait level. For this size, I topped mine off with a final yogurt layer, a strawberry, and bits of chocolate cake sprinkled on top (for decorative and chocolate-lover reasons).
