Are You Going to the Norcal Night Market?

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at WSU chapter.

Have you ever heard of the 626 Night Market or the OC Night Market? Well, if you haven’t they’re Asian inspired night markets in the LA area. There are tons of food and merchandise vendors, live music, and art. I have always wanted to go, but have never been able to. However, this year they have decided to start a night market in the bay area called the Norcal Night Market. It’s a perfect place to go with your friends or family! There will be two different weekends in which this event will be happening at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA: July 27-29 or September 21-23. Here’s the food lineup (more vendors to be added):

1. Al’s Lumpia Service

2. Antonik’s BBQ

3. April 8 Cafe

4. A-Sha Foods USA

5. Auntie Viv’s Shaved Ice

6. Binka Bites

7. Bombzies BBQ

If you’re looking for something to do in the Bay Area and are free during those weekends, you should definitely check the night market out. Enjoy eating, art, music, and shopping Friday-Sunday from 3pm-11pm. I would definitely go with an empty stomach and eat your way through the market. I hope you are as excited as I am!

My name is Gianna and I am a senior at Washington State University. I am very passionate about food and travelling. I'd like to say I am a very adventurous person. On my free time, I like to discover new restaurants to try and a fun fact about myself is that I have been to 13 different countries; which has helped expand my horizons. Besides from food, I like to draw, hang out with friends, go to concerts, etc.
