Every once in a while you need a jaw-dropping food Insta to rack up the likes. Well, have no fear; these Fairfield County restaurants serve up food that looks as good as it tastes.
Bar Taco
Honestly, you’ve probably seen Instagrams from here before. Located on the Saugatuck River in downtown Westport, Bar Taco has it all. Tacos, churros, ice cream cones, water views, and mojitos. They serve all their tacos lined up on trays for that #aesthetic, so you won’t have any trouble getting a decent photo to share with your followers.
#SpoonTip: Try the corn, you won’t regret it.
MilkCraft
MilkCraft just opened in downtown Fairfield and it’s an Instagram game changer. They turn out fresh nitrogen-churned ice cream in bubble waffle cones and donut buns. You might have to wait 45 minutes in line for ice cream, but do it for the gram.
Donut Crazy
This isn’t just any old donut shop. Donut Crazy, with locations in Stratford, Shelton, and Bridgeport, wows customers with homemade specialty donuts. They have usual daily favorites, such as birthday cake and red velvet. As well as monthly specials. May’s specials includes the “Fat Elvis”, a donut filled with banana cream custard, topped with peanut butter, bananas, a drizzle of honey, crunchy bacon and a chocolate drizzle.
We dare you to take a food gram without getting frosting all over your phone. As if donuts weren’t enough, they also offer other breakfast items like omelets, scones, and breakfast sandwiches.
NEAT
If you somehow didn’t get a good photo at Bar Taco Westport, go down the street to NEAT. This place will give your Instagram major aesthetic points. For starters, it’s located in the old Westport firehouse, but they also have all sorts of fresh sandwiches and salads. They also have a full bar and aesthetically pleasing coffee and tea drinks.
Sugar and Olives
This place in Norwalk offers cooking classes, as well as killer lunch, brunch, and dinner menus. They also have tons of vegetarian and vegan options. If you go for brunch, you need to try the chocolate bread french toast.
The Granola Bar
I know, Granola Bar pics are basic, but you can’t tell me that this food doesn’t look good. Located next to the Westport Country Playhouse, with a second location opening May 27 in Greenwich, this restaurant has insane sandwiches, salads, parfaits, froyo, and homemade granola. They also offer a variety of vegan and vegetarian options. If you go here to grab a bite to eat, don’t leave without taking home some of their homemade baked goods.
Oak and Almond
Anything you get at Oak and Almond will not only taste good, but look good, too. This farm-to-table restaurant off of Main Avenue in Norwalk is the place to go for fresh, Insta-worthy eats. Their brunch offers a breakfast flatbread topped with eggs, bacon, and potatoes, which really does taste as good as it sounds.
