This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Western chapter.

In the spirit of nostalgia, here is a strangely intriguing compilation of Mr. Sketch-inspired cocktails. Anyone born in the 90’s is surely familiar with the wonderfully intoxicating scents of Mr. Sketch markers that brought “free time” in grade school to the next level.

Please enjoy these bizarre, memory-inducing beverages, suitable for any season or occasion. Cue the #tbt hashtags.

This cocktail only requires a few simple ingredients and is perfect for a day by the pool. If you can, head to a farmer’s market to get the peachiest peaches available. Try it over shaved ice if you’re feeling fancy.

If you have never tried limoncello, I highly recommend you do. Beautifully crafted in southern Italy, this liquor is deliciously citrusy and great for sipping after a light summer meal.

For those of you that love lemonade as much as I do, you won’t be able to put this one down. AND it couldn’t be simpler. Just lemonade, vodka, lime juice and some blue Hawaiian punch to achieve that killer ombre.

Just when you thought mint chocolate couldn’t get any better, this silky chocolate concoction is not one to miss. Plus, it’s a great excuse to whip out the martini glasses and stuff your face with whipped cream.

If you tend to buy your apples in bulk and are feeling a bit adventurous, give this one a go. No need to feel guilty, either. It’s technically a full serving a fruit, right?

For those uber-hot days. Pack a blender with frozen grapes, ice, grape soda, rum, lemon or lime juice and a dash of powdered sugar. Goes great with BBQ or as an afternoon pick me up.

Who says cotton candy is for kids? This pink dream is certainly not low-cal, but is probably the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. Absolutely perfect for a birthday or any celebration where sprinkles are suitable.

14. Pink: (Melon) Campari Mojito

Nothing like watermelon in the hot summer months. This refresher has a similar feel to gin and tonic, but with looks ten times prettier. Pairs nicely with any fresh herbs including mint, cilantro or basil.

Short on time? This twist on a mojito only takes a few minutes and is a real party pleaser. Prepare to be asked for the recipe…a lot.

Throwback to recess. Bubble gum never tasted so good.

17. Brown: Cinnamosa

This is what I imagine Jay Gatsby drank in his time. Fireball, champagne, and an orange curl. It doesn’t get much more classic than that.

18. Black: Sambuca Shot

Who doesn’t want to be able to say they’ve taken a flaming shot?
