Canada may boast some great national food choices, but the country still lacks some great American staples. Here are some American favorites that haven’t headed up North yet.
1. Trader Joe’s

From its huge selection of frozen foods to its plethora of snacks and candy, Trader Joe’s is a go-to stop (here are just a few of the many reasons that’ll make you love shopping there). There has even been an attempt at recreating the chain with the idea of Pirate Joe’s in Canada.

Canadians may be crazy about their ‘Doubles Doubles’ at Tim Hortons, but “America Runs on Dunkin.” The chain’s ‘munchkins’ donuts and numerous coffee options are just a few of its popular options.
3. Chobani Yogurt

After milk supply issues, Chobani yogurt was pulled off of shelves in Canada. From strawberry to passion fruit, Chobani’s multitude of flavors gives everyone the opportunity to choose their favorite!
4. Cheesecake Factory

Cheesecake Factory’s 30+ cheesecake options will make any dessert lover come running. With its huge portions and large menu, customers can never leave hungry.
5. Wegmans

When there is a musical written about your grocery store, then you know it must be good. With great produce, reasonable prices and amazing prepared food, Canada is definitely missing out on this one.
6. Shake Shack

Shake Shack’s signature ShackSauce, gourmet burgers and crinkle fries are only a few of the things that separate the restaurant from other burger joints. With locations across the United States and internationally, Shake Shack surprisingly still hasn’t reached up to the Great White North.
