Forget Starbs, Einstein Bros. Bagels is where it’s at on early mornings (and throughout the day till 2pm) at West Chester University. You know you’ve been there, enduring the line for a delicious bagel with shmear, a b-fast sandwich, or a cup of fresh-brewed, “darn good” coffee. We’ve been there too and maybe you’ve shared these same thirteen thoughts as portrayed by The Office.
1. Alright, I woke up a little earlier than usual today so I might as well get my day started. But first, guess who needs coffee?
Thats right Jim, this guy.
2. Wow, okay. The line is already wrapping around to Larry’s.
Here go another forty-five minutes of my life that I’ll spend impatiently waiting for breakfast and coffee.
3. Meanwhile, as I’m heading towards the the end of the line I’ll just casually look to see who I can cut in line with.
C’mon, we’ve all done it at least once… okay, maybe twice.
4. Nope, not today.
Alright, I guess I’m heading to the back of the line and pretending I don’t see other people trying to do the exact same thing.
5. Finally, I’ve made it around the corner.
Wait, what am I ordering? What do they actually have today? Why am I second guessing my usual order?
6. I’m. Almost. There.
Of course the person placing the order in front of you, who has had all this time to make up their mind, suddenly has “like no idea” what to get.
7. Aw, of course John remembered my name.
But seriously, where would Einstein’s be without John?
8. Yes. My order is placed and I feel like I’m finally getting somewhere.
I’m so close to placing my order that I can almost taste that Applewood Bacon and Cheddar egg sandwich on an Asiago Bagel. Now all I need is my coffee.
9. C’mon.
I’ve waited all this time and now someone feels the need to cut right to the front of the line because they’re “only getting coffee.”
10. Whatever.
Please, all I need is to order my coffee and I’m good.
11. Yes, finally.
I’ve paid. Wow, this is actually happening.
12. Now, to mix in that cream and sugar and wait for my name to be called.
Now that that’s settled I can actually start my day.
