We’ve all tasted the scrumptious lettuce wraps from P.F. Chang’s. They’re light, delicious, and have the perfect amount of crunch. What if I told you that you could make a perfect replica in your own home for $10?
Not only are these lettuce wraps inexpensive, but they take less than 20 minutes to cook and only require a few healthy ingredients. In addition, the recipe makes a decent amount, allowing for leftovers!
Ingredients:
-1 lb. package of ground turkey
-1 head of iceberg lettuce
-1 bunch of green onions
-2 cloves of mined garlic
-1 can of sliced water chestnuts
-1 can of baby corn
-1 large carrot, diced
-2 tablespoons of olive oil
-1 package of Lee Kum Kee sauce for lettuce wraps (you can substitute this for 1/4 cup soy sauce mixed with 1 Tbsp. Hoisin as well)
Instructions:
1. Add garlic, olive oil, carrots, water chestnuts, and baby corn in a large pan on medium heat
2. Once vegetables are close to being cooked all the way, add turkey meat to pan. Brown.
3. When the turkey meat and vegetables are cooked, add green onion and sauce to pan
4. Wash and dry pieces of lettuce
5. Add sauce into pan, after a few minutes, scoop turkey meat into lettuce and enjoy!
