With the end of the semester quickly approaching and final exams looming over our shoulders, finding time to eat becomes nearly impossible. However, no matter how crunched for time you might be, you should avoid these 9 foods at all costs in the classroom. That is, if you don’t want everyone there to absolutely hate you.
Take this as well-intended advice from one friend to another— the last thing anyone wants to hear (or smell) while they’re trying to pass an exam is your lunch.
1. Hard Boiled Eggs
These might seem exam-friendly enough, but hard boiled eggs smell like a hot sulfuric mess.
2. Apples
The first bite into a crisp Red Delicious is enough to drive fellow classmates into anxious hysteria.
3. Sushi
If you use chopsticks in class, you’re definitely doing it wrong.
4. Bananas
Is there any way to eat these without getting awkward looks?
5. Ribs
Because the smell of flesh might awaken a dangerous primordial lust for meat in your fellow classmates, resulting in death.
6. Pizza Lunchables
Because nobody’s amused when you spend 10 minutes opening your own personal pizzeria during the final exam.
7. Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter (without sharing)
If you don’t have enough for the rest of the class, don’t bring any at all.
8. Chips
Ah, the nails on a chalkboard that is a bag of potato chips.
9. Grilled Cheese
No stringy, messy foods during your finals. Unless you’re Nigella Lawson. In that case, please continue to eat all the cheese that you want (or anything for that matter).
