We Tried The Most Interesting Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Products, So You Wouldn’t Have To

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at USC chapter.

So it’s that time of the year again where pumpkin spice everything overtakes the shelves of Trader Joe’s. If you’re like me it can be a bit overwhelming because you want to try them all. I tried the most interesting sounding pumpkin spice treats so that you can have an easier pumpkin spice shopping experience.

1. Pumpkin Spice Madeleines

These were by far the best of the pumpkin products I tried at Trader Joe’s. They taste like a cake donut made for the holiday season. Paired with coffee, these pumpkin spice madeleines make you feel absolutely ready for the holiday season. I wish these were a year round item because they are delicious. 11/10 should try.

2. Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps

These Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps taste like Thanksgiving in a cracker. The cranberry adds a sweet, chewy aspect to the crackers that pairs well with the pumpkin crisp of the cracker. The crackers are incredible with the Spanish Cheese Tapas Sampler and make the best snack.

3. Pumpkin Biscotti

These little biscotti are delicious but not extremely pumpkin-y. They taste like a generic holiday spice blend in a biscotti, but not in a bad way. They are very sweet and I would definitely suggest pairing it with coffee to cut the sweetness.

4. Pumpkin Spice Almond Milk

On its own, the almond milk is pretty watery and not something I would suggest drinking. But pair it with coffee — incredible! Highly recommend making a pumpkin almond milk latte. If you like nutmeg, there is a lot of it in the beverage, so you are in for a treat.

5. Pumpkin Chai Spice Loaf

This Pumpkin Chai Spice Loaf reminds me of a carrot cake, but slightly dry and with slightly too sweet frosting. The flavors are delicious and truly taste like the holidays, but the consistency of the loaf is lacking and I would definitely choose the Pumpkin Madeleines over it.

6. Pumpkin Cereal Bars

These pumpkin cereal bars are very, very sweet, and if I were choosing between these cereal bars or a berry cereal bar, I would choose their berry cereal bars. These bars could be very good though if they were heated up and eaten with vanilla ice cream, like a quick and easy pumpkin pie a la mode treat.

7. La Colombe Pumpkin Spice Latte

This would probably my least favorite of the pumpkin things at Trader Joe’s, and it isn’t even a Trader Joe’s brand product. Now I love La Colombe, but this Pumpkin Spice Latte is not ideal. It is a bit too milky and not super flavorful but it is great for a pumpkin spice latte in a pinch.

And there you have it! The ranking of the most interesting pumpkin spice foods at Trader Joe’s. So next time you go to Trader Joes be sure to try the Pumpkin Spice Madeleines and Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps. Hope these products help you have a wonderful and pumpkin spice filled holiday season!
