As a college student, I would consider myself one of the worst chefs I know. So naturally, I decided to attempt to cook the most elaborate vegan banana pancake recipe I had ever heard of. Let’s just say things did not go as smoothly for me as they did for Jack Johnson.
Things started to go downhill pretty quickly…
The oats were flying all over the place. Then I couldn’t start the blender. I even needed help opening the cinnamon and vanilla extract. But I blame all of my failures on the camera that was staring at me. The pressure was really getting to me, okay?!
It honestly didn’t look too appealing.
I *think* that’s a chunk of banana, but I can’t really say that confidently. You can probably guess how excited I was to try these pancakes.
But on the bright side, I finally accomplished my lifelong dream of flipping a pancake perfectly!
Ever wondered what it feels like to be the coolest kid on the block? It feels pretty great, let me tell you.
Final product: undercooked pancakes.
After my pancake-flip-induced high, I was reminded where I belong on the cooking food chain. I sadly undercooked the pancakes, which tasted more like batter than the delicious chocolate peanut butter-stuffed pile of goodness that I was hoping for.
