Ben & Jerry’s Pint Slices Are The Next Big Thing

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Union chapter.

I don’t know about you, but I think one of the toughest decisions that I face on a semi-constant basis is what flavor of ice cream to get. Why, you ask? Because once you commit to a pint, there’s no going back until it’s done. And considering myself an adventurous ice cream consumer, the thought of being locked into a single flavor for as many days as it takes me to finish the container, is a scary thought. Well, Ben and Jerry’s gets that and that’s why they’re introducing Pint Slices AKA all your favorite flavors without the commitment to an entire pint.

What are they?

These beauties take Klondike bars to a whole new level and put your typical ice cream sandwich to shame. They are pretty much just circular ice cream bars, but instead of the basic chocolate or vanilla, Ben and Jerry’s Pint Slices are filled with their most popular flavors. They launched the product with chocolate fudge brownie, Americone Dream (which, for those who don’t know, is fudge-covered waffle cone pieces and caramel in vanilla ice cream), vanilla peanut butter cup and chocolate chip cookie dough.

And did I mention they were covered with dark chocolate? Yep. This way, you can satisfy that ice cream craving without feeling the pressure to finish an entire container. Personally, I’ve got my fingers crossed they come out with a Half Baked or Cherry Garcia flavor soon because I’d be into that.

How do I get my hands on these?

Okay, so if you’re like me and you’re wondering the fastest way to get your hands on this newest ice cream trend, I’ve got you covered. Right now, they’re sold both individually and in packages of three at most Ben and Jerry’s ice cream shops, and soon they’ll be in supermarkets nationwide, so get shopping!

Hi! I'm a senior, Psychology major at Union and I'm a firm believer that cheese and chocolate should be their own food groups. If I'm not writing articles for Spoon, I'm definitely stalking food instas or watching every show on the Food Network.
