Ben and Jerry’s Is Now Selling Cookie Dough Chunks

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Union chapter.

I don’t know about you, but whenever I’m eating Ben and Jerry’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream, I’m mostly just digging for the Cookie Dough Chunks. Sometimes I eat them right away, sometimes I save them for last, but either way, there’s no question that they’re the reason I go for the Ben and Jerry’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream pint. Well now, you can go straight for the dough. Ben and Jerry’s is selling straight up Cookie Dough Chunks in the regular and peanut butter flavors (separately from the ice cream), so you can fully enjoy those little bite-sized treats whenever you want.

The two types of Cookie Dough Chunks are going to be sold in half pound bags, each with eight servings of dough. But, let’s be real, if you’re anything like me, those eight servings can turn into one when you’re cozied up on the couch with some Netflix.

According to Refinery29, the cookie dough chunks have a smooth and moist texture like that of traditional cookie dough straight out of a plastic tube. This is in thanks to the chunks being made with pasteurized eggs, which a lot of edible cookie doughs leave out.

The only catch to getting your hands on these babies is that right now, they’re only available in their Vermont  scoop shops. Then, depending on how well they do there, you could see them nationwide by the end of the year. So, it’s all on you, Vermont.

Hi! I'm a senior, Psychology major at Union and I'm a firm believer that cheese and chocolate should be their own food groups. If I'm not writing articles for Spoon, I'm definitely stalking food instas or watching every show on the Food Network.
