McDonald’s Opens Online “Big Mac Shop” So You Can Wear Your Favorite Burger and Eat It Too

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UIUC chapter.

Eating food is cool, but wearing food is, apparently, even cooler. Now, there is finally a way to show love for a McDonald’s Big Mac without consuming the 530 calories and 27 grams of fat. First opened exclusively to Sweden on Tuesday, The Big Mac Shop, is now available to English speaking folks alike in the U.S., Canada and Australia for food merchandise consumption. The online store includes a full line of lifestyle items to make sure the burgers can be a part of every aspect of daily life.

On Tuesday March 24, McDonald’s had a one day marketing stunt called #imlovinit24 where they gave away 24 different kinds of gifts in 24 different cities over a 24 hour period. For America, anyone lucky enough to be in Los Angeles this past Tuesday may have heard musical artist Ne-Yo perform a “Lovin’ Anthem.” Other gifts included a pop-up library in Paris, a McD’s photo booth in Tokyo and the glorious Big Mac fashion show in Stockholm, the origins of the Big Mac Shop. Items that were strutted on the runway during the fashion show in Sweden are the same items that everyone can now collect and fill their homes with.

So, thank you McDonald’s for never letting us forget who the “hamburgers of hamburgers” truly is.
