The Scariest Halloween Snacks At Universal To Get You In The Spooky Spirit

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UFL chapter.

Despite Halloween Horror Nights being canceled this year, Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, still has the Tribute Store open. And in there you will find the most terrifying treats. As soon as you enter the Tribute Store you will first see a classic monster, Frankenstein.

Are you looking to still get into the Halloween spirit even during a global pandemic?

As you make your way inside the haunted store, you will see a room filled with many treats to select from replicating the Universal Classic Monsters; Bride of Frankenstein, Frankenstein, the Wolfman, a beating heart, and a blood-spattered eye. You will still be able to get your Halloween fix and indulge in these scary snacks… if you dare.

The Bride Cupcake

First up, we have “The Bride Cupcake.” This treat resembles one of the Universal Classic Monsters Characters from the 1935 film Bride of Frankenstein. The vanilla cupcake covered in black icing with white streaks on the side replicates the bride’s hair. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, try this one out.

This is the “Red Velvet Blood Spatter Cake Pop.” On the exterior, you have this frightening, gory eye with blood oozing out of it. It is covered in creamy white chocolate with a delicious red velvet batter inside making this the perfect Halloween treat.

Beating Heart Sour Gummies

Talk about scary; the “Beating Heart Sour Gummies” will make you do a double-take. This sour gummy will have you eating it alive — quite literally. On display, this is a pulsing, beating heart. Pretty neat effect, if I do say so myself.

You can’t have the Bride of Frankenstein without the main horror villain Frankenstein. The “Frankenstein Treat” is one of the original Universal Classic Monsters, here in a rice crispy treat form based on the 1931 film Frankenstein. You don’t want to miss out on indulging in this horrific treat!

Werewolf Chocolate Cake Pop

Another monster is here as a dessert this year as the “Werewolf Chocolate Cake Pop.” It’s a chocolate cake pop perfect to fulfill your sweet cravings. Just like the Red Velvet Blood Spatter Cake Pop, these might be the winning treats this year.

Twisted Frank-N-Coils with Blood And Guts

Not in the mood for something sweet? No worries, have a “Twisted Frank-N-Coils with Blood And Guts.” A hot dog covered in potato (coils) with chili cheese sauce representing the blood and guts makes for the perfect savory option for those without a sweet tooth.

Focus On The Treat & Not The Trick

Safety comes first so yes, you will have to follow the strict C.D.C. guidelines while entering the park, such as having your temperature checked, wearing a mask, and maintaining social distancing. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t get into the spooky vibes Universal Orlando still has to offer! Come and try the scariest snacks just in time for Halloween.
