Our theme for the month of January is #SpoonBalance. It had us wondering what balance means to us, in food, in life, and in lifestyle. This reminded me of the golden words I read in our beloved Ellen DeGeneres’ book Seriously…I’m Kidding, “My point is, life is about balance. The good and the bad. The highs and the lows. The pina and the colada.” This made perfect sense to us. With that inspiration, we headed out to ask few students what Balance means to them. We recorded their responses and now, we present them to you in pictorial form.

A balanced diet is a cupcake in both hands.
We aren’t really choosy for the flavor, but Oreo, red vVelvet and chocolate balance out just fine. One in each of our hands, and another one stuffed in our mouth.
Being able to hold the plate without spilling while eating at a roadside stall.
The struggle is real. The street delicacies are hard to miss, and since they are light on our pockets, we are guilty of gorging on them more than twice a week. Holding them while being able to relish them is really the ultimate #balance goal.
If you put croutons on your sundae instead of chocolate chips, it counts as salad.
Logic dictates that, doesn’t it?
Long romantic walks to the fridge are the best exercise ever.
I think I found the one for me. Also, walking up to my fridge counts for physical exercise.
Pizza today, donuts tomorrow.
This definition of a balanced life might sound scandalous, but at least it has each one of us nodding in fierce agreement.
Some days I eat salad and go to gym, some days I gobble an entire pizza and refuse to get out of bed.
Now that’s what you call maintaining the balance of the universe.
Two perfect scoops, one over the other.
Picturesque, delish balance, that reeks of #foodporn.
Balance is a bit lyrical and poetic.
The mornings were too bright and light;
Afternoons too heavy; nights so long and sweet,
that I decided to call it my BALANCED TREAT.
Tell us what #SpoonBalance means to you too.
