Hudson lane is thronged by students as it encompasses a huge number of cafes and restaurants. Ask any student and they will tell you their favourite cuisine and restaurant but most of them actually feel lost when it comes to dessert. And you may not be aware of this, but Hudson lane is home to some amazing dessert shops.
Laxmi Dairy
This dairy shop is situated right opposite Singh-Ching and is one of the oldest. The shop offers a wide range of fresh sweets at affordable prices. The paneer jalebi served here is crispy, juicy and soft, and will leave you craving for more. And wanna know the best part? You can actually order more for just 18 INR. Also, malai-ghewar, rajbhog and kalakand are a must-try.
The Special Rasmalai Shop
This small stall is situated right next to Cent-Precent and serves the most delicious rasmalais. Here, the rasmalai is served with a thin layer of rabri, and the layering is done in such a subtle way that it doesn’t overdo the sugar and adds a heavenly taste to this perfect sweet. And it is just for 20 INR.
Cent-Percent (Bakery Section)
This place is a definite go-to for all the bakery lovers out there—they have the best range of oven-fresh cakes and pastries. The blueberry pastry, rainbow pastry, fruit pudding and blackforest brownie are lip-smacking.
Their cakes are fit-for-gods; they are creamy, fluffy and the frosting is gorgeous. We have a saying, “If the cake is from Cent-Percent, then the birthday party ought to be crashed.”
Cent-Percent (Cookies Section)
Cent-Percent is also a heaven for cookie lovers. They have the most delectable range of cookies at fair prices. One can choose from butter jeera, choco marble, kaju pista, coconut badam, Italian biscotti and much more.
The vibrantly coloured rainbow cookie is definitely a must-try; it is crispy, soft and melts in your mouth, rendering perfect flavours.
Laxmi Ice-Cream Pvt. Ltd.
Go to this shop in summers for a fresh and extra creamy kulfi, faluda or ice-cream. You can ask them to add more syrup and nuts. The price range is also decent.
