A Calorie Breakdown of Popular Items on Taco Bell India’s Menu

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UDelhi chapter.

Taco Bell recently opened in a couple of places in Delhi which makes it a lot easier for us to access some of our favorite delicacies. What also becomes easier is the speed and amount of calories we consume with each taco we stuff on.

You might be thinking what kind of a killjoy takes a dig at the cheesy, holy-guacamole goodness of tacos but after coming back from that one good, did we say good? We meant great meal, we decided to look up it’s calorie count and what we saw wasn’t exactly half as pleasing as the meal.

Before we move on here’s a fact you should keep in mind to realize the ‘gravity’ of this breakdown: The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends that carbohydrates make up 45 to 65 percent of your total daily calories. So, if you get 2,000 calories a day, between 900 and 1,300 calories should be from carbohydrates. That translates to between 225 and 325 grams of carbohydrates a day.

Moving on…here is a calorie breakdown of five popular, if not the most popular items on Tacobell India’s menu:
