Cathy’s Cookies: The Perfect Rose Bowl Sweet Treat

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UCLA chapter.

Cathy’s Cookies, known for their buckets of freshly baked cookies, has Rose Bowl visitors wrapped around the corner waiting to try these decadent treats.

It’s safe to say that Cathy’s Cookies is nothing but consistent. Light and crispy with just the right amount of crunch, these treats are dangerously addictive. I found myself eating ten of these delicious goodies in one sitting…

The warmth of the chocolate melts right into your mouth, bringing you nothing but comfort as you cheer on your favorite team. The best part about these cookies is that they’re meant to be shared with your friends and family! At UCLA’s Homecoming game against the University of Iowa, buckets of Cathy’s Cookies scattered the entire stadium, filling the Friday night lights and fireworks with sweet smells of chocolate.

The one slightly unfortunate thing I will say about Cathy’s Cookies is that the line can be insane. My friends and I went during the third quarter thinking everyone would be back in their seats after halftime, but there were still around 50 people ahead of us in line. However, going with your friends should make the line fly by in no time! Don’t be afraid to make conversation with others standing behind or in front of you–we had a lovely conversation with the grandfather and grandson standing behind us patiently waiting to try these cookies for the first time.

These cookies serve as a staple for a true Bruin game-day experience, making each match feel like a celebration shared by all. If you ever find yourself contemplating whether or not to stand in the line, this is your sign to try these sweet treats!
