9 Mainstream Dessert Companies with Incredible Vegan Options

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UCF chapter.

Finding vegan dessert options can be challenging unless you go to a shop that’s specifically for vegans. Sure, you can order sorbet or other fruit-based treats, but sometimes you just want to have the same delicious, super Instagrammable choices as everyone else. Luckily, a few mainstream dessert companies have added vegan alternatives to their menus, so that you can indulge just as much as anyone else, while still being 100% animal friendly. Check out these awesome options.

Chunky Monkey, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, PB & Cookies… are you drooling yet? Those are just a few of the chain’s awesome new non-dairy flavors. My favorite is Coffee Caramel Crunch, which is perfect for making an extra-caffeinated affogato.

CREAM

Yes, you can now get their famous ice cream cookie sandwiches completely dairy-free. I’d advise you to pick the banana chocolate chip cookies, because they pair well with any and every ice cream flavor.

Cupcakes and Cookies:

Sure, they only offer one vegan cupcake option, but it’s arguably one of the best: red velvet!

Gigi’s

While they don’t list vegan flavors on their website, you can ask for a vegan cupcake at most locations and they will have it.

Insomnia Cookies

Now you can get a box of vegan chocolate chip cookies delivered at 2am when you need them most. Dip ’em in almond or cashew milk, and you’ll have yourself a classic late-night dessert, vegan style.

Frozen Yogurt:

With 18 non-dairy flavors, Yogurtland is killing the vegan dessert game. Most of them are fruit flavors, but they do offer dark chocolate as well.

This chain offers a few typical fruit-based options like tropical mango dairy-free yogurt, but they also have coconut milk flavors like salted caramel and dark chocolate. If, like me, you aren’t a fan of coconut, stick with the fruity flavors.

Menchie’s

Your options at Menchie’s aren’t too shabby. There are twelve different flavors to choose from, including fudgey chocolate and the famous pineapple Dole Whip from Disneyland, which is my personal favorite treat to get in between trips to the happiest place on Earth.

Tutti Frutti

Tutti Frutti takes the cake with not five, not ten, but 25 non-dairy frozen yogurt flavors, including soy latte and peanut butter banana sandwich. Coffee addicts (which includes me), the soy latte flavor was basically made for you.
