As someone who has spent over ten years of her life in Jupiter, I have tried all of the restaurants the city has to offer. When visiting Jupiter, the amount of restaurants in the area might be overwhelming to some. Whether you’re a local looking for some new places to try, or a tourist on vacation, these are 10 restaurants to dine at in Jupiter recommended by locals.
1. The Woods
Renowned because of the fact that it is owned by golfer Tiger Woods, The Woods is a popular restaurant located in Harbourside Place. The menu ranges from spinach and artichoke dip all the way to New Zealand rack of lamb. The Woods has a comfortable atmosphere for all age groups, and you won’t even break the bank! Entrees typically range from $20-$50.
2. Guanabanas
If you are prefer a more casual setting, Guanabanas is the place for you. Woven tiki huts greet you as you enter this festive, entirely outdoor eatery which overlooks the waterway. If you’re trying to eat sustainably, you don’t have to skip the seafood: everything is locally caught by Florida fishermen – and the catch of the day varies regularly. Diners can get to Guanabanas one of two ways: car or boat. This is a perfect spot for date night. Entrees range from $6-$32.
3. Dune Dog
If you are heading home from the beach or a day out on the boat, Dune Dog is the perfect spot for a quick meal. This is a popular spot for tourists because of their foot long hot dogs, that are only $4.25! Your hot dog can be topped with anything you can imagine: chili, onion sauce, cheese, tomato, fish fingers, the list goes on. If hotdogs aren’t your style, Dune Dog also offers chicken sandwiches, burgers, and various other options.
4. Dive Bar
Geared toward the over 21 crowd, Dive Bar has an extensive drink menu and excellent service. If you enjoy seafood then you’ll definitely enjoy the wide selection of oysters on the menu. Even though Dive Bar is known for their seafood, their menu also offers vegetarian options along with chicken and filet mignon. If you’re interested in going for happy hour or an anniversary dinner, entrees range $8-$40.
5. Food Shack
No matter if you are going out to lunch or dinner, the line for Food Shack is always out the door. Food Shack is popular for their daily catch seafood dishes. You can have up to eight different types of fish to choose from, and eight different ways to have them prepared. Although the seafood dishes are popular, make sure you try their “Indoroni,” also known as “grown up mac-n-cheese.” This dish is comprised of: noodles, chicken, red onion, sriracha chili, cheese sauce, roasted garlic, and parmesan. Bring the whole family for the amazing atmosphere and live music. Dishes range from $10-$28.
6. Jupiter Donut Factory
Instead of stopping by Dunkin’ Donuts for a donut, try Jupiter Donut Factory, where the donuts are handmade each morning. If you’re over the basic chocolate glazed donut, this is the place for you. You have over 40 donuts to choose from including apple fritter, banana cream pie, cinnamon roll, and glazed strawberry-filled.
If you are not in the mood for a donut, Jupiter Donut factory does offer traditional breakfast sandwiches such as bacon-egg-cheddar croissant. Be sure to set your alarm, doors open at 6 a.m. and close as soon as the donuts run out.
7. U-Tiki
If dining with a view is your cup of tea, U-Tiki is an excellent choice. No matter where you take a seat, you will have a view of the Jupiter lighthouse and the intracoastal. Regardless of what you are in the mood for, you will find something on the menu that fits your appetite. The menu has anything from sushi to burgers. If you are planning on taking your little ones, make sure to go on the weekend because U-Tiki is only open for dinner Monday-Thursday. Appetizers start at $11 while entrees start at $12.
8. Lynora’s
If you are a fan of authentic Italian food, you should definitely consider swinging by Lynora’s for dinner. Lynora’s has a menu with endless options, such as pizza, antipasta, pasta, and many others. Even if you are not interested in a sit-down meal, Lynora’s offers a happy hour (4pm – 7pm) during which all drinks are half off, and certain dishes are discounted.
Whether you’re looking for a place to dine at for an hour or two, or simply to have a few drinks, ordering this restaurant’s famous meatballs is a must! Lynora’s is only open for dinner during the week, but offers brunch on the weekend.
9. Jupiter Beach Resort
Jupiter Beach Resort is a great location, regardless of whether you prefer to sit pool-side or in a formal dining hall. Considering the variety of dishes on the menu, you are sure to find something that will suit your taste buds. While you really cannot go wrong with anything that you order, Jupiter Beach Resort is known by locals for its specialty burgers. Because this restaurant is located inside a hotel, it will make you feel as though you are on a mini vacation of your own – even if you’re only there to grab a bite to eat.
Luckily, unlike some other options on this list, Jupiter Beach Resort is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; so there are no excuses not to stop by!
10. Jetty’s
If you want to have dinner with a gorgeous view, Jetty’s is just the place you are looking for. Since this is more of an upscale restaurant with a more mature feel to it, prepare to dress up if you are interested in dining here. Popular food items on the menu include steak and seafood dishes.
If you have a big appetite, then this is a perfect place for you to try. Each dish comes with a side of bread, and your choice of a second side. Once you finish your dinner, you can simply just walk outside and admire the view from the docks.
Hopefully, the next time you visit the beautiful city of Jupiter, you will be able to visit at least a few restaurants on this list; after all, these are the 10 places the locals say you can’t miss!
