5 Reasons You Need to Try The Crave Bar Immediately

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at U Mich chapter.

To be honest, I am not the biggest fan of ice cream bars. There are just other treats I’d rather have than an ice cream bar. However, The Crave Bar is the exception. This chocolate meets pretzel meets caramel bar of goodness blows every other ice cream treat off the ice cream man’s truck. Here’s why The Crave Bar should be the first (and only) ice cream bar you ever turn to when you’re in need of a frozen treat.

1. They use a pretzel instead of a popsicle stick

I don’t know how it can get much better than that. The Crave Bar’s pretzel stick makes the whole entire ice cream bar edible. Not to mention, chocolate and pretzel is, like, the best food combination ever. No more sad feelings after you eat your ice cream and all you have left is a wooden stick. With a Crave Bar, you’ve got a pretzel to look forward to.

2. They are hand dipped in premium chocolate

While most ice cream bars are dipped in a thin manufactured chocolate, each Crave Bar is individually dipped in premium chocolate. You can feel gourmet eating your Crave Bar knowing that someone specially hand-dipped that bar in decadent chocolate just for you.

3. The pretzel stick is coated with caramel and then dunked in chocolate

Just in case the pretzel stick wasn’t enough, the Crave Bar’s pretzel stick is coated with caramel and chocolate. Chocolate, caramel, and pretzel, what more could you really ask for?

4. There is a Crave Bar food truck

If you’ve ever been in the Chicago area on a hot summer day, you understand the need for a cold treat. The Crave Bar is the perfect treat for these kinds of days, and it’s so easy to find in their adorable “chocolate dipped” food truck. To stalk the food truck for when you need some pretzel, chocolate, caramel yumminess, check out their Twitter.

5. They give back

The Crave Bar supports local organizations through their campaign “Crave for a Cause.” Recently, The Crave Bar’s CEO, Kim Holstein, went to Future Founders, an entrepreneurship camp in Chicago, to speak to the participants about her passion for entrepreneurship and her journey in the food industry. We all know food is great, but giving back to the community is even better.

Now that your mouth is watering, it’s time to go treat yo self with a Crave Bar. You can find them at stores like Whole Foods and Mariano’s, but for a full list of places that carry them, check out their website. Trust me, you’ll start to wonder why all ice cream bars don’t use a pretzel instead of a popsicle stick.
