Yes, you read that correctly. Nike released a special pair of dunks, inspired by one of the greatest soul foods of all time: chicken and waffles. Food is no longer limited to your plate. You can now eat your chicken and waffles, and wear it, too.
It is rumored that these kicks were inspired by the famous Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles. This LA hotspot attracts many tourists each day, as well as famous fans like Snoop Dogg. The shoe just happened to be released when East Coast Foods, Inc. filed for bankruptcy. Coincidence? I think not.
Just looking at these makes me hungry.

The resemblance is definitely there…

The details are on point. Just look at that waffled fabric and syrupy swoosh.

The chicken and the waffle on the heel is the perfect touch.

These shoes have all the ingredients to be a success. There’s no wrong way to eat chicken and waffles — and apparently, there isn’t a wrong way to wear them. Nike launched this shoe on April 2, so get them while they’re hot. Purchase them here.
